Watercolors 5/5 It was confusing and morbid and beautiful. I liked how Suzuki used discos, bondage, and try-hard musical theatre adults to tell this one.

Adrift: 4/5 This is the kind of story I expected when I started reading this collection. It perfectly encapsulates the unsettling nature of the sea and the concept of “Phantom Ships”

Dream Cruise 3.5/5 This story started off slow, but I like how it all wrapped up in the end. And I hated Ushijima and Minako, fuck them.

short story 1-floating water: really slow and the outcome was predictable from the moment the author mentioned a water tank.

The Hold: 3.5/5 It was a pretty good story. The MC reminded me of my own asshole japanese father so it had that connection to me. Maybe that made it harder to read for me.

Its good, a collection of short psychological horror stories. I sought the book out after watching the film Dark Waters - the film's storyline is based upon the first short story in this book which is called Floating Water.
I'm finding the psychological horror theme is more effective than supernatural horror as it makes me think, a lot. Good reading so far.
