Wonderful story so far. The easy, fast-flowing narrative style of David Dodge, combined with Martha Albrand's template of telling a big story on a smaller canvas, lending it intimacy, and making it alive with movement and vibrancy. By the 20% mark, you just want to keep reading. An unusually easy read for historical fiction. Tender, heartfelt moments, yet swiftly paced and exciting. Great read for this genre.
