3 3/4-4 stars. Another quick, sweet story with good characters

H's father dies in very beginning of book. He was in last book, but luckily not a large part of story.

“Baby,” he whispered. “You can either move willingly, or I can run your ass over, but you only have two seconds to decide before I choose for you.” For a split second, surprise flickered across his face. I could see he wanted to argue, like he could come up with a way to force me to stay.

I suddenly knew how a woman felt when a man looked at her like she was his next meal. When Bailey gave me that same look, my body felt like it’d been lit on fire. When Phoebe offered me the same appraising once-over, eff, I just felt dirty and slightly violated.

“Do you two ever keep your damn clothes on?” Ryan asked as I climbed up into the cab of his truck.

Just before I laid her down on the bed, our eyes connected, and she smiled back at me. Damn if that didn’t hit me like a punch to the stomach and make my knees just a little weak. Her happiness had come to mean so much to me, and it was still a new feeling.

Once I was behind the wheel of Bailey’s Jeep, I would be driving straight to Noah’s place to pick her a$! up. It didn’t matter how much I had going through my head right now. If she was staying anywhere other than her own apartment, it sure as shi!# would not be at my single brother’s cabin.

My gaze shifted back to the man who I could say without a doubt was my best friend and my hero from day one. My father had always been the one person I could turn to no matter what, someone who accepted me without judgment.
