How dumb is Mari?

Only 30~ pages and I can never think about this uselessly whiny heroine again. I thought I could handle her but wowwww she is timid.

Oh I just want to SHAKE some rationality into Mari. But it does make sense characterwise -- not TSTL -- just overly empathic & survivors guilt. The real benefit of the book is expanding the world building & what is Dark and what is inbetween & other.

As mentioned previously -- I am more on par with the logic of the Watchers than the Witches. But I also agree with them that the Witches are necessary & must be protected & insulated to STAY as they are.

Although their actions are totally in line with the logic of the magic system, I just want to SHAKE the Lightbringers. I'd be a horrible watcher.

What should have a fast read instead turned into a study in procrastination as kept going to browse Facebook rather than finishing. Now done can say liked but did not love the story either in world building nor characters, will not read rest of series as just could not gather enthusiasm to care what happens in rest of books.
