And apparently this roger of his is gigantic and has injured other ladies. But not the fmc of course. They are a perfect fit.

I hate this part of romance books, where both characters are certain they can’t be together despite their attraction and strong personal feelings. This is a book of adventure! Surely something besides ‘golly I could never be good enough’ and ‘I must be practical’ could be devised as a hurdle for the budding romance!

First of all, the woman in the book has brown hair. Second of all, why is Cersei Lannister on the cover

Composed, capable, orderly-like. He’d drive a woman like that to Bedlam. But he fell a little bit in love with her anyway.

Enjoying this one more than the 1st book in the series. The hero and heroine are both wonderful, interesting people and clearly MFEO. The obstacles to them being together are believable and angsty.
I met Susanne Lord at a book signing at RWA in San Diego, and she said she thought this new book was better than her 1st. So far, I have to agree! I liked the 1st one okay, but this one is really working for me.

This is off to a good start - an intriguing premise and intelligent, witty writing. I really like the heroine so far, and the hero seems like a sweetheart. One of the first things the heroine notices about him is that he's kind, and kindness in heroes is my kryptonite. I love a good guy...even if this one is blonde, which isn't so much my thing. ;)

He looked to Charlotte Repton, the only friendly face in the room. Her smile dimpled. “It is a contemptible offer, Mr. Mayhew.” He blinked. “More coffee?” she asked. “Uh…no, thank you.”
