Status Updates From Last Exit to Brooklyn

Something terrible happened to Harry. The strike ended and he wasn’t fired but he couldn’t use the strike fund for his outings anymore so he couldn’t afford the drag queens he had been spending money on. Then he assaults a kid so a group of guys break both of his arms and leave him beat up in the dirt. The following chapter gives a bunch of different perspectives in a housing project.

I’m just waiting for something crazy bad to happen to this guy Harry. The company tried shipping a finished order out of the striking factory and in revenge the strikers blew up the trucks.

This Harry guy is definitely troubled. He lowkey hates his wife and is a jerk at work.

Been on my list for more than a year and I thought it would be fun to read it right after a different book with Brooklyn in the title. So far a drag queen was being bullied by guys that were throwing knives at her feet until one got stuck in her calf. Later she’s better and she’s trying to seduce on of those guys in a group setting where they’re all doing benzodiazepine and morphine.
