this collection is THIQQ. i wonder how long it took teenaged-me to read this? what kind of reader was i 21/22 years ago?

it is important to note how vital this collection was to me as a young writer, and, as I make my way through it carefully, all these years later, as a reader and an artist.

Haven't reread this collection, and it's been 20 years since I initially read it. Granted, I've definitely read most of these stories more than a few times since, but Wolfe's having assembled them is what my brain is looking to.
