It’s not very well written… and the dialogue is terrible, but let’s see where this goes

O-kay, I can see what I meant about the romance lmao. These two are very annoying. And how has Nicolette been on the run for months and she still makes the most impulsive, stupid decisions? At this point, I am AMAZED that she's still alive.

Reading this very slowly for no reason (maybe just because work is stressing me out too much to read more?), but still enjoying it.

I'm enjoying it so far, which is surprising, because I remember not having been into the romance (which, admittedly, hasn't developed yet at 24 pages). But the chapters are very short, and also, Jack's father is called "The Butcher", so guess which Mafia kid is living rent free in my brain right now lmao.
