Status Updates From Rogue Lawyer

I get such a kick out of the parts of this story where Rogue is having one of his rare visits with his son.

The big Home Invasion case went like a dream,

Now Rogue Lawyer may be defending a very unlikeable litigant. So far, John Grisham has helped me to like a wild assortment of characters I didn't much like at first.

Though I don't think I will ever stop loathing Rogue's vile-and-vindictibe ex-wife.

The Trial has begun. It is what Freud might have called a WISH FULFILLMENT scenario.

I just hope that the biggest villain of the book, Rogue Lawyer's vicious hater of a wife, doesn't dind a way to louse this up.

Such wry humor, as Rogue Lawyer's ex-wife goes after the last few shreds of his custody rights for ever seeing their young son.

Yes, a fascinating plot (with details I won't divulge, for fear of "spoiling.") I do find it remarkable how Grisham tells a believable story, as usual.

Only this time, in this particular book, there is pervasive wry humor. Quite a neat trick!
