Status Updates From Incomplete Short Stories an...

"I have to rebuild the world for myself because
I've been told so many lies about me, my body, my history, my future."
These last 3 story fragments have hit me exactly where I am now, looking to a future I never expected to see and trying to decide what's next, what shall I become now, do I even have the means to strive again when it takes my all & more just to maintain here?

The way we use stories to explain things we couldn't otherwise.
The way we use stories to make sense of the experiences that add
up to each of our realities. How the logic of stories... forms an alternative or
even a replacement for the broken, incoherent logic with which
our lives proceed. The way we use stories to search for ourselves
and to transforms ourselves and to become ourselves.

Today was payday so I was finally able to pick up this wonderful grab bag of assorted writing from an incredibly skilled and important trans woman author. I can't wait to get home so I can start this.
