this book is annoying, it's written like a novel and spends too much time telling off topic stories about the people the book follows (characters? I really want to call them characters but I think it's supposed to be biographical and that feels weird), such as a whole chapter dedicated to Chuck Zukowski picking up his wife (I cannot believe this guy is married) with part of a mutilated cow in the back of his car

I feel like I'm too far in to not finish it, but this book is weird and not in a good way.
