Status Updates From On Trails: An Exploration

Bushwhacking as a teen. Maybe I should go out and explore nothingness more. Turn off and stop worrying about receiving a text.

I am reminded of my time spent trail running, and how I often stared at the trails at my feet (against the suggestion of my coaches) and reflected on the status and many qualities of the dirt, rocks, mud, and organic materials that made them.

So far

I started reading this book literally 4 years ago, picking it up and putting it down, but the time spent with it has only made it better. Robert Moor’s infectious enthusiasm hooked me right from the start—lol, never thought I would love learning about trails this much.

Learning so much and really enjoying this! It never really occurred to me that the idea of hiking is a pretty new concept - there is no need to dedicate yourself to an activity that connects you to nature if being connected to nature is a part of your daily life. More people living in urban pockets created a desire to spend more time in the "wilderness" which is just something that urbanites made up 🤔
