I kinda can’t take the narrator with her fantastical radiation sickness seriously. I think it says so much about mental health that people invent external causes for their depression. This graphic novel is spare and lovely in its plainness, and the burnout/ennui of the main character comes through in this effective painting of rootlessness and depression.

The narrator settles for farm life where she can connect with the animals, although she still moves from place to place; a nomad. Her hopes have been renewed though, giving the ending an optimistic mood.

The narrator continues to struggle. At this point another relationship has crumbled. She still can't find a place for herself where she is comfortable physically and socially, resulting in an aimless life. In other matters, the drawings continue to delight me.

There are no page numbers so I'm guessing. It's like reading straight from someone's diary; the handwriting and drawings do little to dissuade that feeling. The narrator documents her life as it slowly crumbles. Can she find a balance between avoiding technology and maintaining relationships? So far, the answer is no.
