I love mysteries and Science fiction, but this book reads more like a gritty detective novel with prejudice. I deleted the book from my library without finishing; I couldn't get to know the characters, nor care for them either way, nor understand the relationship of the aliens with the humans.

Such a badass. I love Rose. I love the fact that she can develop an alien character after it's already dead. Not since Spock have I seen a story with more memorable, dynamic nonhumans. Wonder why this didn't take off like a rocket first time it was pub?

Scratched the surface and could see it is too suspenseful for bedtime. Looks like a great cross btwn sci fi and crime fic.
