So far one of the more enjoyable, eclectic collections I’ve read in awhile. Look past the title and cover art, which are a bit cringe, and you’ll find Alfred Birnbaum, the editor/translator here, who rendered Murakami’s early novels/stories and who is the *perfect* person to DJ this playlist — there’s a lot about that whole saga in David Karashima’s “What We Talk About When We Talk About Murakami”
