Thinking about trying to explain the premise to this book cracks me up and yet I’m so emotionally invested already

This book is slow going because I wasn’t expecting a fantasy book about an epidemic to be so triggering but like, here we are.

Wow. Okay. Who knew that ‘Quarantine anyone who has been in contact with them’ - a quote from a book published in 2015 - would become a phrase I use almost on a daily basis at work? Literal chills.

SO much more angst than book 1.

She threw back her head, stretched out her arms, and screamed. Light shot out of her mouth, a pillar that hit the ceiling and broke through it, bringing tiles, rafters, and snow crashing down.
