This was one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. As a Nepali who has left the country and settled abroad, I deeply connected with Prema’s emotions and inner struggles they felt incredibly real. I saw myself in her journey. But I was honestly disappointed, even frustrated, by the way she handled her romantic relationships.

At this point, I've lost the book. Earlier it had a pace, some movement and now it's so still and so complex with all that guru, and war and Prema being confused. I don't understand what's causing her to do this. She mentioned her home only once and what's happening in America or Guatemala is not similar to Nepal then what is her problem? It's all a bit mixed up right now.

Uhhhhh! This chapter was so boring. All this American, latina, chicano Mexican shit. Who says India has a lot of caste and separation systems, Americans are not far behind. Finally Prema feels she has made her way to the real America and Is in a committed relationship with Luis. She has left her old life for good, the mention of Nepal now doesn't even catch her attention. She is completely aloof from her roots now.
