This collection of horror is just so good.

'Mechanical Patriots' - says it all - absolutely fantastic!

Enjoying some of these stories, others seem incomplete or just not for me

"Body and Blood" is the author's depiction of religion taken to a predictable extreme in this escalation and perversion of the rituals in the churches as time marches into a new era.

"Rocket Man" was tonight's short story and on the surface it was about the future and going for a short trip in outer space to join test subjects in its efficacy to modify alcohol addiction. A chronic alcoholic agrees to give it a shot. He was temporary lost in space, visited an alien planet, and was gifted with complete knowledge of our planet earth. An enlightened man returned to earth. But there was a catch...

"Objects in Mirror" and "Mechanical Pariots" were tonight's stories and I really enjoyed both. The first featured Sterling McPleasant AKA the Mudhoney Butcher arriving in Empyrean and finding out that only the "best" people get in, not righteous.The second story addressed the depersonalization that troops faced on foreign soil to treat the women and chidren like animals.I believe this occurred more in the early wars.
