Status Updates From Berserk, tome 03

I know what’s coming and it’s absolutely bonkers. So excited to get back into the Golden Age arc and see it the whole way through.

I want to see vengeance in the next volume! That’s all I want!

I feel so bad for Guts! Honestly, I don’t blame him at all for how he turned out to be. I knew the poor thing had been traumatized before the moment he flinched and was so against the smallest of touches. I hope Donovan is rotting in the deepest of hells. I fear no death or torture is cruel enough for him. He and that piece of shit Gambino.

I hate it here! I’m so scared to find out how Guts lost his right eye and left arm. If that devil Donovan was behind I’d throw up and rage quit. I can’t deal with this. It’s too horrible.

As if that is not enough, you see him right after joking about with some woman. But all of this is nothing compared to what he had done after, that vile piece of shit Donovan had stopped him to ask about something, it wasn’t explicitly shown but I wager he’d asked for permission to do what he’d started that night and I’d wager that piece of shit Gambino has agreed to it. Heck maybe even got paid too.

river scene. At nine years old, he had Guts fight in a real battle! And I’m not sure if I got that one right, but he did give Gambino all his bounty because he wanted his approval and probably because he’d shown him the smallest of kindness. Poor thing. And that piece of shit had taken it all to himself and given him only one coin, and Guts had treasured it! I hate that asshole so much, I hope he dies horribly!

Gambino is a sick man (and so is his company!) he put a sword in Guts’s hands when he was only six years old and not only that, he got so angry that Guts had managed to nick him (it was a superficial wound) after he’d cut him in three different places and so he decided to give him a cut so deep that it reached the bone. A six-year-old boy! For being actually good! What a piece of shit! I don’t care about the

The opening scene was so haunting! Guts lying there under his mother’s hanging corpse…his. Life has been a hell from his first thing. Poor thing. At least Shisu showed him some kindness and took him in. But to what life? And she herself has had it rough, and she had a miscarriage three days before and eventually died from the plague. And Guts was there in her last moments at 3 years old! What a horrible life!

Guts deserves better! Poor baby!

Next chapter is the start of “The Golden Age” arc and the first page is so haunting, I fear I’m going to cry again.
