Status Updates From Distorted Hope

***Dark peeps*** This book is nowhere near as dark as The synopsis makes it sound!!! Despite that, for some reason I still am finding myself enjoying the story! I'm eager to find out how it will all end!

I have never disliked a character as much as I dislike the female lead in this book! Gawd, she is such an airhead!

"He caressed my cheek. “It’s alright. I know you’re not feeling well. You up for dinner?”" - You know it's bad when you're hoping the heroine has a terminal illness. I'm hoping for something painful and highly contagious!

"It wasn’t as if he was abusive." -So says the girl that he's kidnapped, raped and bruised. Say what? I'd hate to see what constitutes abuse to this girl!

The doctor seems perfectly okay with kidnapping, rape and forced prostitution, but he's apologetic and seemingly concerned about some bruises on her back and shoulder??? How nice of him!

"I need a haircut. The thought was so foreign, it stunned me. I’d never gotten a haircut to make myself look good, except with Stacey’s makeover. I cut my hair when it got too long, but now I was thinking I needed a haircut because of split ends?" - Seriously! This is what you're thinking when you've been kidnapped and told you'll most likely be a sex slave and you're about to meet the guy that now owns you? WTF?

Odd...I'm waiting for something to happen. I'm a little baffled.
