Status Updates From The Singing Guru

I paid £18 for this book. Thinking about that price tag makes me want to cry.

A contented man is a rich man. And he who has no desire is the wealthiest of them all.

Perhaps it's because these topics are taboo in Punjabi households or perhaps because I was raised reading these stories in children's books, but the use of adult themes - such as sex and drugs - is quite jarring to read. Especially when I myself am so detached from these matters.

The book isn't bad at all so far. It's just it could say at the beginning that this is a bedtime sotry for the kids aged 5 to 10 not a literature for grown-ups.

I'm intrigued with this book. It is brining tales of Guru Nanak which I did not know about before. Ah, how things come to you to open and expand your mind!
