2 1/2 stars because the characters are all unlikeable (except the godnutter, she was fun) and these fairy tale retellings are not my normal cup of tea.

A quick read. Not something I’d normally bother with but I needed a V author for my book challenge and this happened to be sitting unread in my kindle from a few years ago when I downloaded a lot of free ‘first in a series’ for a teenage Sam. I might even read the next one just out of curiosity.
