Talking about Ukraine, I’m trying to assess the finality of his statements regarding the contestations with Russia. He seems to think that western and eastern Ukraine are a part of different civilizations not saying I disagree with that, but to what degree can Russia manipulate that boundary as well if it takes Eastern Ukraine a sizable amount of land and people residing there ?

Interesting point about cultural affinity prompting international cooperation versus ideology - are the two wholly distinct though? I might argue ideology is an aspect of culture itself - also talking about cultural affinities rooted in race - does that mean it’s shared blood or shared culture ? Unclear
