Status Updates From Translation of Children's L...

I should be taking notes, but that would be too much like homework. I really do need to get a copy of this book for myself, but it is really, really expensive, sigh.

Enlightening, but quite textually dense and academically challenging at times (the latter depends on the individual author, as this book consists of a series of essays). So far, reading this book has been rewarding, but I do think that there is a bit too much emphasis on society and the "system" and not enough attention paid to the target audience (children themselves, who are often given far too little credit).
