I'm pretty sure I'm done with this book - there are just too many differences between it and reality. Granted, it's a fictional book - but the military part is completely off-base. A full commander, trying for a station command slot, is piloting a shuttle and tells an enlisted man from another branch of the service to call her by her nickname? And that's only one of the inconsistencies.
