finished Daphnis and Chloe and loved them!!! (they both kinda cheat on each other tho but this is kinda swept under the rug for some reason…).

Xenophon’s Ephesian Tale (24/02)
really not very good sadly… the events just stack on top of each other but none of the things that happen (however dramatic) are not impactful at all, because every time someone gets sacrificed or killed or crucified, it’s always immediately overshadowed by the next big thing. one moment we’re in Turkey and the next we’re back in Greece. i don’t really recommend this…

sooooo i’m reading ‘Callirhoe’ and ‘Leucippe’ for class, which means i’ll be reading two chapters of those novels every two weeks. in the meantime, i’ll be reading the other novels. i’ll use these progress updates or whatever to write a review for each novel i finish! stay tuned :)

Dr Ian Repath, I will never forgive you for making me read a 1000 page £30 book for a Greek romance module. This is my villain origin story
