Status Updates From Slaughterhouse-five

I’ve been avoiding this for decades (war satire? no thank you), but now I’m in it for a reading challenge. (Nothing motivates this girl like a sticker chart!) I almost gave up during ch1, which is kind of a preface(?), but then I figured I should read ch2, where the main story starts, and I almost gave up then too. I’m still going because it’s short, but I’m also starting to see the point revealing itself.

The time jumps are somewhat interesting, but sometimes it’s hard for me to follow the story emotionally. Maybe it will take some time for me to get used to the writing style, but right now I’m having a hard time enjoying the book—although I find some parts very clever and others genuinely funny. I now know for sure that this is a very weird war book.
