Status Updates From 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat...

Really disappointing from Mona Awad. This book was so painfully uninteresting, had absolutely nothing meaningful to say about girlhood, the relationship with the body, friendship, or love and self esteem. Kept expecting this to go a different direction but then it didn’t.

I realize this is an old book of hers so not her best work but wow I’m kinda shocked at how bad this was.

The name changes are a good way to show Lizzie’s shifting identity throughout the different stages of pre- and post-weight loss.

This feels like disjointed short stories or personal essays - each chapter packs a punch with its own theme, but very hard to follow.
