the library copy I’m reading has hateful notes written in it which are really bothering me. The author isn’t going to read or review a library copy of the book.
feels years late reading this but glad to read a definitive source about this era of online abuse that has caused many of us to retreat from all social media

As someone who was mobbed (a form of abuse that is done at a community level) by the people in the town I grew up in, everything Zoe Quinn said really has hit home to me, just now she mentioned fair weathered friends and how she cannot relate to others. As a survivor of something similar but on a much smaller scale, it cannot be stated enough how utterly isolating public abuse can be even after the abuse has ended.
