Um, Owen didn't accidentally drug you. He intentionally drugged you to screw with you. I think the author doesn't know what accidentally means...

I honestly don't understand why authors feel they need to recap their own books within the new one. If it was some passing thing that was being explained in more detail, okay, but this was literally a rehashing of major plot points and basically why Owen is the way he is. We don't need a refresher.

The sex stuff was weird. The way Nora talked about it was just "it didn't feel like anything but since he likes doing it so much I'll just lay there and let him do it." Uh, what? Pretty certain you're doing it wrong. It was almost like the author was saying it was fine for girls to have sex but maybe they shouldn't because it doesn't feel good for them, it only feels good for the boy, so why bother?

Book three was underwhelming. Everyone gets sick and Nora and the gang have to figure out why. Considering who end up being behind it, you'd think there would be a bit more excitement. It's like the author decided all the teen sex was more important to write about than an actual climax (ha!).

Aside from the couple little flubs here and there in book 2, I actually liked this book better than the first. There was a bit of mystery and suspense to the events in the book and Owen is a much better character in this book than the last. I had a hard time with his drastic character switch in book 1.

And the book has redeemed itself a bit. Owen is an absolute nut job and he's really quite well written. Reading the things he says and does and makes others do solidifies how terrible he is and why he's a good villain.

"For straight people sexy was clearly defined. For straight people blow jobs were not sex." Uh, yes they are, hence the term oral sex. I get that Sawyer is working through some stuff and is a teen himself, but I think this kind of line in a YA book can be dangerous if left unexplained.

How do you misspell a main character's name this far into the series? And not like a typo where a letter is missing or transposed.

Okay, I get that Nora dealt with some absolute crap with Owen and it may have messed her up a bit, but considering it took her FOREVER to even notice he was doing that stuff, it seems weird that she's all defensive now. I mean, new boy asked where she was when she disappeared for hours and couldn't be found and happened to say "see you at dinner" when they've ALL been eating dinner together. Overreact much?

Okay, so we're at the end of the first book and I'm feeling infinitely better about how things played out. Owen still sucks, but Nora actually became a character I quite like. She has guts and brains (most of the time) and finally grew and retained her backbone, though events make her stifle it. Considering the circumstances I can forgive it though.

It's a little sad that it took this long for Nora to stand up to Owen considering all the crap he's pulled, but at least her telling him off was satisfying!

For a brief shining moment Nora grew a backbone and stood her ground and I was pleasantly surprised. And then they're interrupted and she's suddenly making excuses and worrying how it'll look if everyone found out that Owen acted like a slimy frat boy who won't take no for an answer.

The thought that "maybe it wasn't her. Maybe Owen was the problem" is only now occurring to you?! Nora spent weeks tiptoeing around, spending every evening with Owen and ignoring her friends to make him not get mad at her and she's only now thinking he's the problem? Ugh.

Nora had better start standing up for herself and get out of this relationship. If you're flinching when he moves because you're scared of him, then you are in a wildly unhealthy relationship.

"If you don't see me then you don't even think of me." Except she spent the week thinking almost exclusively about you while working on a valentine FOR YOU.

Oof. I already dislike Owen and his insecure, possessive personality. Add in a dash of abusive bf to the mix? Uh, no. Unless it turns out that he's possessed by something forcing him to act like a complete ass clown, then I'm not sure forcibly dragging your gf to the edge of the world and asking her in a threatening manner what would happen if she fell off the edge is something he'll be able to recover from.

What is this whole, "being without you is like being ripped apart" thing? At the beginning of the book Owen had been away from Nora for a long ass time (months if I remember correctly). He's fine when he decides to not be around, but as soon as Nora is doing stuff without him for a few days it's the end of the freaking world for him?
