I just can't get over how uninspired the German translations are. They're absolutely awful. I first read the series in German and wondered what people loved about it. Now I've read the books in the original and understood them. The sheer beauty of them. I hate the German publisher. The covers are terrible. And then look at the French version. Cover and interior design are a dream..... Sigh....
