Status Updates From Vita e destino

The physicist has fallen in love with his coworker’s wife and his conscience is suffering because he agreed to sign a letter condemning scientists accused of murdering a writer. At the front the talk commander is losing his hold over the advancing army.

Stalin personally calls the physicist to let him know he’s off the hook because he’s studying nuclear reactions. The party loyalist in prison is prevented from sleeping so that he’ll confess.

The party is about to clamp down on the physicist. Meanwhile the Russian army is advancing west after defeating the Germans at Stalingrad.
