Status Updates From More Than Magic

There is no villain in the currently, but there is Bernice, dad's new girlfriend. Ryder's relationship with Bernice is not the best because Ryder doesn't like Bernice. " I don't like dad's new girlfriend".

In the beginning, Ryder was never happy because of her moms death, but later on in the book she starts get happier.

When Ryder first meets Bernice, she says "Her face looks like she's wearing a mask. She must've had so much Botox" (page 25). The author use this figurative language to state that Bernice's face isn't normal.

In More Than Magic, Rory comes out the TV and asks Ryder for help because her writers are changing her and Rory doesn't like it. Ryder is going to have to prevent the writers from changing Rory. I recommend this to Donovan because it seems like book that he will read and I've known him for 4 years and I know his book preferences

So far in the book Ryder has met her dads new girlfriend and her daughters.

I can infer that my character will try to free her dad and bring him back to reality. Coming up, I predict my character will meet Rory.

I can infer that Ryder is going to miss granny. In page 17 it says," I'm going to miss you too granny". This quote states that Ryder will Granny because of her strong bond with her

This book is about a 11 year old girl Ryder that is going through problems

It's a little confusing, but my kids like it.

The beginning's pretty slow. Hopefully it picks up soon.
