I can not "not" say something. Charlie's rush to the prison (and so fast - it was like a beam me up Scotty move) was so utterly brain freeze stupid that I'm at a loss. And then the pretense that she's his fence. It felt way too OTT novel contrived. It seems it would be so easy to find out who she really is. I could just see the bad guys finding her profile on LinkedIn saying she the asst DA.

I stepped away and read a few other books and now I'm trying once again with this one. Everyone else seems to be enjoying this one, but I'm left questioning one thing after another. Why is an assistant DA in charge of a task force that the US Marshalls put together? Yeah I get the DA presence, it's a must. But why would the DA be in charge and why put an over reacting control freak in charge?

I started having problems with the lead female character and decided to take a break from this book. I'll come back when I'm a little less hostile.

I just started this one and wanted to say that I love the cover. It's not over the top in your face, and still manages to be smokin' hot.

This recall my memory why I still continue to reading the series. Wow....
