Status Updates From Arthur the King

I see this chapter as how other people saw Merlin weird looking not normal. There was something different about him, but no one knew what to think of him. As a kid, he was definitely different. He was awkward. Merlin would often disappear in solitude into the forests for months, even years. He would find his spirit again in solitude...

I now understand what is really happening now. It's setting up the history of Arthur how he was conceived by a spirit, at least in this story, the spirit turned into a man the woman his mother has never seen before. The description of the tower not being built is amazing because of the pool beneath the story of the 2 Dragons white of Germany and Red of England, a very cool setup...

I'm restarting this book. I need a cleanser right now. The first time I started this, I didn't see it as clearly as I do now. Wow, seriously. Lot really clocked Arthur just because he was a boy, and he pulled the sword from the stone all out of jealousy. Uther never said the sword was limited to anyone before he passed away.

It sounds like Merlin is out to find himself now. Lot of history talk in this chapter. But this is where he goes out to the forest and disappears for awhile.

Trying to build a tower that won't stand and they think blood sacrifice would work that's when Merlin comes in and says that will not work because that's not the solution. It's because of 2 things the pool beneath it and like the history of Britain says the Red Dragon and the White Dragon that hides beneath the pool, symbolizing the red being Britain and the white being Germany.

If that wasn't a good start to this book I don't know what is, and why I put this book down awhile ago I will never know. Why would the King of Orkney be so enraged by Arthur pulling the sword. He is the rightful heir to the sword.
