Human Vs Human

The hunter is trying to bribe the grandmother and Sylvia with 10 dollars to help find the heron. The grandmother is convinced but Sylvia is not. Eventually, Sylvia does find the heron but doesn't know if she wants to end its life by telling it's secret. She decides to not let the greed of her grandmother get to her and kept the heron's secret.

Conflict/Resolution citation: page 59

White Heron: Self Conflict
The conflict was between Syliva and herself. The conflict Sylvia faced was whether or not she should expose the place of the white heron to the hunter.
The resolution was that Sylvia decided not to expose where the white heron was because she did not tell the hunter where the white heron was the hunter and Sylvia are no longer on good terms.

Conflict - Slyvia has to decide if she wants to tell the hunter where the White Heron is, and if she does the hunter will kill it,
Resolution - She decided not to tell the hunter where the Heron was and save its life. Ultimately losing the relationship between her and the hunter.

"The sparrows and robins in the woods below were beginning to wake and twitter to the dawn, yet it seemed so much lighter there aloft in the pine tree, and the child knew that she must hurry if her project were to be of any use" (Jewett). I visualized Sylvia in the tree looking down at the birds as the sun rose with an orangeish sky maybe a little dewy outside and then continuing to climb the green pine.

The setting of this book starts in the woods on a path, and she goes back and forward from being at the main character's grandmother's farm and the woods full of pine and oak trees. With a sea in the far distance.
