I liked the interesting section on the possible candidates (R, C, H) for elements of a matrix. However, I am yet to understand why the elements of matrix should belong to field or skew-field. I also enjoyed how the need of complex multiplication is demonstrated.

I am studying the proof of Frobenius theorem by Dickson in his book "Linear Algebras" (1914). The proof is short but I have not yet understood it.
