The examples in this book are so heartbreaking, but they correlate so well with the syndrome. She is covering things so many young women will try to cover up/attempt to validate, following it with the fact that in some way it always haunts the person. As a firm believer in God, I know that I achieve my confidence through him, but this book is revealing the realistic struggles of those that reach to other outlets.

I’m really enjoying this book so far and have found it helpful, particularly because it explores an issue, well, multiple issues, I’ve been addressing in therapy. one aspect that didn’t sit well with me though, is that it occasionally feels a bit sexist. Some passages seem to lean into a women-hating-women narrative, which I’m obviously not fond of
