Well so far this book is significantly better than the previous ones in the series. I’m liking the h and H and the plot is very intriguing.

Lead characters are already in love, but author gave virtually no background for this to happen

The timeline is all off relative to the previous 3 books. They claim it is summer 1803, but that Michael had only been gone 4 months. Michael appeared in book 3 just before Gwen and Ash married, but in this book they are already married.
