Status Updates From Ghosts Speak Not & Patience...

Re-reading after Nemesis. It's a decent enough story, but it strongly falls into the classic 2 hour Horus Heresy short story that would be better served by being a tighter hourish audio drama or developed & expanded into a novella. Ultimately, it's very linear & not very mysterious for a mystery. It has some Bond film vibes with the boat chase. It feels like what it is; a vehicle for the significant word at the end

I can't believe I nearly skipped these after all the Knights Errant and the Sigilite stuff, but I'm loving the writing, dialogue, and vibes, and barely anything has even happened.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for Garro, Sisters of Silence, and a AuDHD completionist.

Also, it's late, I need to sleep, and I know if I continue Adulthood Rites, I won't stop.

I'm genuinely intrigued and having a good time thus far!

I give James Swallow shit sometimes, but these were some damn good shorts. The Amendera Kendel one was pretty fantastic and was the first use of Exterminatus by a regular human.
