Sincerely hoping this class isn't as full of libfem rhetoric as this book is. I'm actually inclined to read the original edition just to see how much it's been gutted. It seems like this updated version has been updated because it talked too much about women and not enough about everyone else (read: men).

Already irritated by how libfem this is. Seems there is very little to say about the hegemony of patriarchy, how gender is the tool of sex-based oppression and how we need women's liberation now more than ever. So far, it seems like there's going to be a lot of "personal choices!" "every gender is valid!" "men need feminism too!" and "stay away from those filthy radfemses!"
Status quo. I hope class is different.
