Status Updates From The Resurrection of Joan Ashby

My god, this book is tedious! SO many stories within the story. I understood from page one that Joan Asby is a writer. Was it really necessary to include lengthy excerpts of "Joan's" writings to drive that point home, and to show her reclaiming her former self after being sidelined with marriage and children?

I've been skipping them all. They bore me. I really don't care what "Joan's" characters are doing.

I'm not sure if I'll finish this one or not. I don't necessarily dislike what I've read so far, but I'm not motivated to read for long when I open it up. General feeling up to now is just 'meh'.
