Status Updates From My Hero: The Olympian

Looooooooving it so far. Only complaint? There are African Americans out there who do have "typical" names. Even famous female Basketball players with the names Dawn, Cheryl, Leslie, etc. Its a pet peeve of mine when I see/read African American characters that have names such as Shamequa. I mean really, way to stereotype. BTW I am African American.

This constant commentary on Johnny's appetite and eating habits are starting to get on my nerves. He eats. I get it. Doesn't require an individual plot line. Geez.

I feel like I'll get diabetes soon. Max Vos clearly mixed his sugar with sugar and then sprinkled a little "Homefront" on it to make it digestible. I don't remember his other works to be THAT sweet, or that packed with homophobia.
