Status Updates From Rules

PREDICTIONS:David is trying to learn all of the rules his brother is giving him & his goal is to learn all the rules and follow them. His brother just gave him a new rule to learn which is no toys in the fish tank. Then,David was playing with his toys and accidentally dropped a barbie in the fish tank! When his brother found out he was furious. Now I'm predicting that David is going to get his first punishment.

POINT OF VIEW:The point of view of my story is 3rd person. It was a little hard to figure out if it was a 3rd or 1st person but then I found a quote where i instantly knew it was 3rd person.Right when you open the book it says Rules for David, now the main character in the book is David so that already told me that someone else is narrating the book. Then I found "Come on David & "David" a lot so I knew its 3rd person.

The protagonist in the book is 12 year old Catherine with a brother who has autism. She is an amazing artist but most of her family's attention goes to her brother, this is a huge problem in the story because she states she feels like his shadow. Throughout the book she has trouble making friends and blames everything on her brother but her parents still don't pay enough attention to her so she just copies with it.

The setting in the book "Rules", is mainly in Catherine's house with her brother trying to help him out because according to her he is always getting into trouble. Currently in the book she is at her local doctors office for David her autistic brother's weekly check-up, where she meets her friends Jason and they run beside the beach.
