Status Updates From Robinson Crusoe

Although not intentionally humorous, I’m finding this book to be really amusing and highly enjoyable. It’s incredible that it’s a bit over 300 years old and still SO readable and contemporary-feeling. It uses no slang so there’s nothing unfamiliar in the language to decipher. I really like it so far!

I was nervous about what T would think of the run on sentences and the “outdated” language, but he is surprising me! The other day he asked if we were reading it (I’m reading it aloud to him) and he was disappointed when I told him No. I hope he continues to enjoy it 😄

He has made peace with the circumstances through the power of god/something bigger.
