Status Updates From Vida de un esclavo americano

Week 1 down! 📖 Book club of two with my daughter — she asked to learn more about slavery beyond what public school covers, so I picked this. Never read it myself before now, but know the history well enough to add context as we popcorn read through Douglass's own words. Heavy and important, glad we're doing it together.

His writing is very hard to follow. This is really making me what to have a dictionary on the side to research these words. I will be going back through the book to highlight words I do not know. This is a great account of a slave.
