Status Updates From Martutene

There are interesting points about the Basque conflict and the importance of myths for keeping a culture alive within the dominant paradigm, as well as the ability of translation to capture the essence of a particular story (esp. prescient as I am reading in translation). But the writing style is tedious and the relationships between the main six characters are both boring and annoying.
