Status Updates From Where Am I Now?

The way she finally learned that she had OCD from reading the book “Kissing Doorknobs” is prime example of why we should never ban books for children. No matter how against a certain topic or perspective a person has, and I’m glad she learned and her dad was willing to learn, too, is incredible. She’s blessed she got the help she needed at a young age.

Ugh,my heart is breaking for her as she discusses her intrusive thoughts,uncontrollable&compulsive rituals&repetitive behavior&germaphobe issues, perceived rejection,depression at a young age&feeling relieved when finally getting a name for what has plagued her since her earliest memories… I can relate to the exact same unfolding of events. 1000% neurodivergent, too

I really am enjoying this though, I always liked her when I was a kid.& I had no idea the struggles she went through.Crazy how we can wish to get an opportunity like Mara Wilson or MK & Ashley Olsen; but wisdom teaches us that I’m grateful to never have that many eyes on me
