I haven’t opened this app in a long time. I have no valid excuse. I’ve been slacking. But anyway - reading Mona’s debut. I’m only 40% through but so far nothing Mona Awad-esque has happened yet. Idk if it’s because she just hadn’t found her writing style yet or maybe I’m getting ahead of myself on the review

sharp writing - perhaps the author could’ve given more depth to the characters. i’d like to think that people are more nuanced than portrayed in this book.
