Status Updates From A Book Without Dragons

I didn’t except for an insightful story about a girl abused and battered emotionally and physically to be inside this book. And yet here it is as truthful and honest as any. Amazing.

This is really compelling, if the style of writing is a bit unconventional.

Well this is... weird but kind of a cool concept. And it’s got a short page count which at this time of year is important. 😂😉

Every time I see that the chapter is in Cider's POV, I tense. Brilliant use of the dog. This book is holding me tight and fast.

I know that I'm only a few pages into this book but WOW. I am so deeply impressed by Berrier's ability to navigate between characters and tell such an engaging story. I made the mistake of starting this book late at night, and now it's all I can think about during work today! I just can't wait to finish it and find out what happens next.
